Select demolition and environmentally impactful construction projects may present serious legal, regulatory, and liability roadblocks. At EDG, we pride ourselves on our strict adherence to industry, government, and corporate safety standards, which enable us to provide genuine peace of mind to our clients.
We ensure that all work is performed in accordance with OSHA, EPA, federal, state, and local regulations, as well as our client’s corporate requirements. To that end, Environmental Demolition Group has developed an extensive safety program outlined below.

All of our employees, from project managers and foremen to entry-level employees and workers, are required to complete OSHA training before working on any job site.
This training includes setting up appropriate safety equipment on scaffolds to prevent falls. We’re also trained in safety methods for using forklifts, skidsteers, and aerial lifts.
All employees of Environmental Demolition Group, without exception, undergo 40 hours of HAZWOPER (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response) training.
This means all of our employees know how to handle hazardous materials properly, use the right protective equipment, follow proper procedures and protocols, and respond in case of an emergency.
Our emergency response includes personnel trained in fire protection, CPR, first aid, and bloodborne pathogen handling.

Teams conduct daily safety meetings on each job site. We talk about what we’re doing for the day’s tasks, any issues we may encounter, anything that happened the day before, and make sure everyone has the correct personal protective equipment (PPE).
Each foreman has a checklist to review before we lift a single piece of debris or tool on that particular day.
